2.2 Procedures

2.2.2 Criteria for the initiation and termination of LVP
The preparation phase will start when visibility falls below 1 500
m
and/or ceiling is at or below 300
ft
and
CAT
II/III
OPS
are expected.
The operations phase will start when the
RVR
falls to 800
m
or the ceiling is at or below 200
ft
.
LVP
will be terminated when
RVR
is greater than 800
m
and ceiling is greater than 200
ft
and a continuing
improvement in these conditions is anticipated.
During
LVP
CAT
III,
RWY
25R shall be used for
TKOF
,
RWY
25L shall be used for
LDG
. When
RWY
25R is
CAT
II and
RWY
25L is
CAT
III,
RWY
25R remains
AVBL
for
ARR
s.
The
MNM
value of the
RVR
is established at 150
m
. Pilots requesting to land below that
MNM
will be advised
that they are below
MNM
but will not be refused
LDG
clearance.
When the
RVR
is below 200
m
,
RWY
25R shall be used for
DEP
and
RWY
25L shall be used for
ARR
.
During
CAT
II/III
OPS
, the following information shall be added to the
ATIS
message:
"LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES IN OPERATION"
Furthermore,
ATIS
will give details of any unservicebility of equipment relevant to
CAT
II/III
OPS
.
2.2.3 Details of runway exits
RWY
exits for
RWY
25L are equipped with green / yellow coded
TWY
centre line lights within the
ILS
sensitive
area.
Landing
ACFT
should leave as soon as possible the
ILS
sensitive area signalled by alternated yellow and
green
TWY
centre line lights.
A "Follow-me" car that is kept on stand-by when the
RVR
value at the
TDZ
is less than 400
m
shall assist on
request the pilot while taxiing the apron.
