instruction for
ILS
interception.
c. In respect with
TFC
conditions at a particular moment,
ATC
may vector
ARR
ACFT
to one or to the
other parallel localizer course for a straight-in
APCH
. If, for any reason, an
ACFT
being vectored by
radar did not receive localizer interception instructions, the pilot of such
ACFT
will intercept himself the
ILS
/
LLZ
course serving the assigned
RWY
.
d. During simultaneous dependent
IFR
APCH
s, pilots will execute precise
LLZ
interception (not
overshooting the
LLZ
axis).
If an
ACFT
is observed to overshoot the assigned
LLZ
course during the turn to final to the assigned
RWY
, the pilot will be instructed to return to the
LLZ
course immediately.
Any undue track variation in relation to the
LLZ
axis or any malfunction of equipment must be reported
immediately to
ATC
together with any decision to perform a missed
APCH
PROC
.
ATC
will exercise radar monitoring of the missed
APCH
PROC
and transmit instructions to start a new
APCH
.
e.
ATC
shall provide:
{ a
MNM
1 000
ft
vertical separation between
ACFT
during the "turn-on" to the near-parallel
ILS
/
LLZ
course until intercepting the
LLZ
{ a
MNM
staggered radar separation of 2
NM
between
ACFT
established on the adjacent
ILS
/
LLZ
.
MNM
standard
ICAO
separations shall continue to be applied between
ACFT
on the same
ILS
/
LLZ
course.
4 APPROACH PROCEDURES
Note : Circling
APCH
s are not authorized.
4.1 Surveillance Radar
When radar control is exercised, the intermediate
APCH
PROC
may be omitted wholly or partly. The
CLR
limit
assigned by Brussels
ACC
will then be replaced by a
CLR
to a final
APCH
aid or radar vectors will be given to
direct the
ACFT
to a position from where the final
APP
can be started or a visual
APCH
can be made.
SRA
a.
SRA
is
AVBL
on
RWY
02, 07R, 20, 25L and 25R.
b.
SRA
will be terminated either:
{ at a
DIST
of 2
NM
from touchdown
{ before the
ACFT
enters an area of continuous radar clutters
{ when the
ACFT
reports that a visual
APCH
can be made.
c. The
ACFT
shall be informed at regular intervals of its position in relation to the extended
RCL
.
HDG
corrections shall be given as necessary to bring the
ACFT
back on the extended
RCL
.
d. The
DIST
s from touchdown will be passed at each
NM
.
e. The levels through which the
ACFT
should be passing to maintain the glide path (3° for all
RWY
s) will
also be passed at each
NM
at the same time as the distances. Those levels expressed in
ALT
s are
shown below.
